Catiline's Guess At What Pompeii Looked Like

This map is based on the "Pompeii" article in the Encyclopedia Britannica (1968 edition), Michael Grant's Atlas of Classical History (Oxford, 1994), The Penquin Historical Atlas of Ancient Rome (by Chris Scarre, 1995) and the Napoli e dintorni volume of the Guida d'Italia del Touring Club Italiano (Milan, 1960). This is not a detailed study of the city, and you are advised to consult more authoritative works than this for reference. Please note that the legend for regiones IV, V and VI is placed above the map, while the legend for the rest is placed below the map.
