weathermen call this rainy day
words like dark, dreary and gloomy
and many will refer to it
as being simply miserable outside
but I must disagree with them
because for me, it is a comfort
and a most welcome reprieve
as if forms an even balance
where normally none exists
between that outside world
and the grim obscurity
of my own dismal existence
so I say let it rain
