Interest in biodiesel is high in central Arkansas. Three of my co-workers are actively involved in different aspects
of it. One man runs his Mercedes on SVO, another is working on a low budget processor, and I am working with another man on
an essentially hands off processor for a cattle rancher.
One of the first things we discovered about WVO collection from restaurants is that the gunk is hard to pump!
We try to minimize driving by picking up the oil on our commute, so we needed a clean and fast way to pull up, load up, and
go. I developed this auger and tested it on chassis grease (red) successfully. I haven't gotten feedback yet from the one
I gave it to. The screw ( shown here ) fits within a rubber hose attached to a meter long lift pipe. The
shaft is driven by a portable drill.
