The top priority for the SE Council is providing assistance
to the Lacy-Ladelle VFD. We are currently helping them in locating grant money to
construct their station/community building.
In addition we are also providing assistance to two other newly formed departments in Drew
County. They are Clear Creek and Selma.
We are working on a joint project with UAPB and the COE on a scour erosion problem that is
threatening the football practice field and parking area of the school's new stadium.
The Council has provided technical assistance to the community of Tarry
in Lincoln County with the development of a FUN park through the Department of Parks and
Tourism. The council has assisted in the preparation of the grant for submission and
researched all the cost estimates for the grant. We are currently waiting on a funding
decision. |
